4 EVENT Historic Grand Prix BACK TOTHE BEGINNING: 13 to 15May 2022 Every two years, the Historic Grand Prix takes centre stage a fortnight before the F1 Grand Prix with a lineup of carefully selected vintage cars. The authenticity and history of these cars, which date from the Eighties all the way back to 1929, also have an aesthetic appeal for many spectators. First staged in 1997, the 13th Historic Grand Prix continues its time travel adventure this year with 230 cars and 7 series, each named after one of 7 drivers. For the vintage racers, it’s about striving for perfection and putting on a show. This circuit is known for being a difficult, technically-demanding drive, and winning the race is as much of a challenge as ever. Get ready to see competition and vintage cars come together for what will be an unforgettable ride. 30April 2022 For its fifth year, the Monaco ePrix wi l l be showcasing top manufacturers of electr ic racers, and inviting along former F1 drivers. With the cutting-edge research taking place, the field is gaining ever more ground. The battery life of Gen2 Formula E cars mean drivers can complete the whole race in just one singleseater. In Attack mode, the motor is powerful enough to see out the 45-minute race as well as one extra lap of the circuit. The future is coming. 5 THE RACE OF LEGENDS: 26 to 29th May 2022 A bridge between Monaco’s past and present, the Monaco Grand Prix circuit celebrates the Principality’s global reach and status. It represents the best of the best of Formula 1, outrageous extravagance and the ultimate odyssey, and reveals in its unique spot on the F1 calendar every May. Here, the greatest drivers in the world go head to head between land and sea, on a city circuit mapped out by Anthony Noghès in 1929. Passion, cutting-edge technology and discipline are all part of vying for the privilege of experiencing the emotion of motor racing at the highest level. Monaco-born wonder boy Charles Leclerc will be driving for Ferrari in the 79th Monaco’s Grand Prix and nursing the secret hope of becoming part of racing history.
